Instructions for lawyers wishing to post a Lawyer Profile page.

Why lawyers should list profiles on Legaltree:
Legaltree’s reputation as a Canadian legal research resource and its search engine rankings have grown steadily in recent months and the site now attracts approximately 6000 visitors per month. As such, listing a profile on Legaltree is an effective way for Canadian lawyers to market their legal practices.

Setting up a Lawyer profile on Legaltree:
Lawyers may sign up for user accounts and not list their profiles in the Lawyer directory. However, lawyers wanting prospective clients to contact them should do the following:
  1. Sign up for a user account
  2. Check the “Personal contact form” box on the My Account / Edit page. This is necessary if you want other Legaltree users, including prospective clients, to be able to contact you by email.
  3. Select the “I am a lawyer and prospective clients may contact me” option on the My Account / User information page.
  4. Create a Lawyer profile page by clicking the link in the “My Account” which will appear after you log in. Indicate your area of practice and location, and include additional contact information as you see fit.
Note that your “Lawyer profile” is distinct from (although linked to) your “User profile”. Therefore, step 4 above is important.
